Stock Info
I'm Brent, and I go by the name Stock Info on Seeking Alpha and various social media platforms. I’m the founder of the Stock Info Substack and I felt this project is a great way to give smaller yet incredibly talented contributors a platform and a means of sharing their content.
It's a pleasure to introduce myself to you and invite you to be part of what I hope will become a vibrant community. Ever since I was a kid, I was fascinated by the stock market and finance. I vividly recall flipping through the Bel20 (Belgium’s stock market) page at the end of the newspaper at just 12 years old, even though no one in my family shared this passion.
My journey into investing began at the age of 16, and it quickly became an obsession. Initially, I delved into technical analysis and tasted early success. However, I soon recognized that to become a well-rounded investor, I needed to expand my knowledge.
This led me on a path of self-education. I devoured books, blogs, podcasts, engaged in conversations with like-minded individuals, and much more. I truly believe in the power of continuous learning, and I’ve always been eager to deepen my understanding of the financial world.
On a personal note, I'm currently 22 years old, pursuing my bachelor's degree in economics and starting my master's degree in Finance. I’m a firm believer of using option strategies to hedge positions, transform positions, extract cash, optimize risk/reward, and much more. Therefore, you can anticipate not only in-depth analyses from me, but also engaging pieces on option strategies and potential trades with favorable risk/reward profiles.
My journey as a writer began on Seeking Alpha, which has been an enriching experience. It challenges me to delve deeper into specific stocks, articulate my thoughts, and receive invaluable feedback, all of which have contributed to my growth as a writer and analyst. However, I felt the need to create a platform to write even more comprehensive content, including different pieces beyond just stock analysis, and this is how this Substack came to life.
Agrippa
Hey guys, what’s up. I’m going by the pseudonym Agrippa. Most of you know me from X, posting extensive research about my favorite investments - especially about $hims.
As (almost) all investors, I’m trying to make the most money possible with the lowest amount of risk. While some stick to broad diversification, Index investing, or TA analysis - I approach this topic with heavy concentration & extensive ‘inside-out’ knowledge about my investments.
I like to invest in innovative & industry leading companies in rapidly expanding markets. Besides these characteristics, I also value high topline growth, being founder-led, industry-high margins, and great agility. Notably, I appreciate a mission statement that offers the company vast optionality and doesn't confine it to a single product or market.
Given my laser focused approach on a select few stocks, diving deep into each one isn't just a preference—it's a necessity. This exploration dives deep into both the financial and non-financial aspects of a company. Beyond that, I'm constantly expanding my knowledge base by delving into other investment-related subjects, such as macroeconomics and the intricacies of valuing stocks, aiming to sharpen my edge in the market.
I'm genuinely excited to be a part of StockInfo & to present my thorough research on hyper-growth stocks and weighing in on broader financial matters.
Steel and Quill
Hello! Just as Agrippa, I go by a pseudonym, inspired by the steel-tipped feather I used to write letters to special people. Call me Steel. I've been investing since 2019, learning as I went from the highs and lows. My background isn't in finance or economics, as I hold a degree in chemical engineering and work as a nuclear engineer. My style is to spread my portfolio into specific baskets based on investment timelines defined by their industry or sector outlook.
In my contributions, you'll find unconventional approaches and insights from atypical sources. In every one, I will have one overall goal: education. I firmly believe investing sense is something anyone can learn, and I'll seek to make the esoteric understandable to all, whether it's the technical details of an industry or the workings of a financial instrument.
Friso Alenus
My name is Friso, I am a 23-year-old student with a degree in electromechanics and currently going for a bachelor after bachelor in business management & accounting. Since 2020, I have been actively engaged in the stock market, honing my analytical skills and astute decision-making capabilities.
Most know me from Seeking Alpha, where I have been sharing research for over a year. I offer valuable insights into my own investment portfolio and the rigorous process I employ to evaluate potential stocks. Demonstrating a penchant for identifying value investments with an optimal risk-reward balance, I deliver thought-provoking analyses that resonate with seasoned investors and novices alike.
Notably, I earned the prestigious 4th place in the student investing competition hosted by the renowned Belgian financial newspaper, DeTijd.
